Description
The Vilafortuny Laser Technician Program will establish quality instruction and the fundamentals required for laser and IPL hair reduction competence for students. The program aims to ensure the correct practice of hair epilation with laser devices demonstrating the highest levels of safety, knowledgeable care and training.
OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES:
The Course will establish quality instruction and enforce the maximum standards required for laser and IPL hair reduction competence to students, to ensure a correct practice of hair epilation with lasers and IPL devices, incorporating the highest levels of safety and a knowledgeable care practice.
The 5-Day program of theory and practical hands-on cases is the mandatory course for Nurses, Assistant Nurses, Beauty therapists and physicians in order to proceed for the Laser Technician license in the UAE.

Azaiba Kara is a graduate of Yerala Medical College (India) and holds a DHA licence as a Laser Practitioner and Beauty Therapist.
Her Speciality is in Laser Hair Reduction, Skin Rejuvenation, and other Ablative and Non-Ablative lasers for the skin and Body.

Dr. Carmelo Crisafulli
MD - Specialist Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Crisafulli is a Plastic Surgery Specialist with over 10 years of extensive experience in Reconstructive, Plastic and Microsurgery. He is well equipped to provide Aesthetic and Therapeutic care using the latest international innovations and practices.
Having practiced in a number of countries around the world, including Mexico, USA, Brazil, Spain, France, Romania and Italy, Dr. Crisafulli began his career in Milan in the Plastic Surgery and Emergency Department of one of the city´s most reputed clinics.
Teaching in aesthetic Lasers at the Vilafortuny Training Centre, he instructs doctors in aesthetic lasers, skin resurfacing and nurse and beauty therapists on aspects of Laser hair reduction in preparation for the Laser Technician license with DHA, MOH, DOH and DHCC. Health regulators.
Originating from Sicily, Italy, Dr. Crisafulli graduated from the University of Messina, Italy, and holds Memberships with AICPE (Italian Society of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery), ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and IPSN (Interactive Plastic Surgery Network).
Dr. Mario Trelles
Plastic Surgeon
MD and PhD, General Surgeon, Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon. American Board Diploma for Lasers in Aesthetic Surgery
Dr. Mario Trelles is a seasoned, highly recognised general surgeon and plastic aesthetic and reconstructive surgeon. He is president of the European Society Laser Aesthetic Surgery (ESLAS), the Spanish Laser Society (SELMQ) and the European Laser Association (ELA). He is also a board member of the Laser Aesthetic Society of Cosmetic Surgeons (US).
On the academic front Dr. Trelles is a professor at the University Catolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome for postgraduate diplomas in Lasers in Dermatology, a visiting professor at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, School of Medicine, University of Masaryk, Brno, Czech Republic, and the director of Master programmes on Lasers in Medicine, College of Physicians, Barcelona, Spain.
Dr Trelles is the author of over 250 peer review articles, various books and numerous textbook chapters. He is also the international editor of the Dermatological Surgery Journal in the US. Additionally, Dr Trelles is the president of the board of trustees for the Foundation Antoni de Gimbernat, a non-profit organisation dedicated to research in medicine and is the director of the Instituto Medico Vilafortuny, Cambrils, Tarragona, Spain, a reference centre for academics in lasers in the European community.
