Originally of Scottish birth, Dr. R Glen Calderhead has had more than four decades of experience with the indications of laser and light in surgery and medicine,and is an internationally-recognised authority on the photobiological basics underpinning the application of lasers and light-based systems in medicine and surgery.

Dr Calderhead has three books, several book chapters and over 100 publications in the peer-reviewed literature to his name and is currently the Principal of L’ACADÉMIE Clinical Research and Education Center, and Vice-President, Medicoscientific Affairs at Lutronic Corporation, both in Goyang, South Korea.

He is a popular podium speaker at national and international medical laser congresses worldwide with more than 300 invited presentations to his name.
